About

Hi, my name is Larissa and welcome to Life with Larissa! I’m a part-time traveller & full-time student. I’m also an assistant swim coach! After graduating back in 2015, with my Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology, I decided to further by education by going to school for my Master’s of Public Health. However, that doesn’t deter me from my love of travel. When I’m not doing assignments, studying, researching, or coaching, I’m looking and planning for my next adventure!

A little background on me:

I was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and moved to the United States at a very young age. Although I lived in several different states, I basically grew up in the state of Georgia. There is where I fell in love with the sport of swimming, and I never looked back. I swam competitively for about 13-ish years, which includes the 4 years I swam in college, at Campbell University.

At Campbell, I was able to go on two study abroad trips during the summer with the Psychology Department: one before I graduated, and one after I graduated, because I loved it so much! Both trips we visited France, Germany, and Austria, although not necessarily the same cities. I was mesmerized with the various people I was able to interact with, and with the cultures I experienced. Also, I absolutely LOVED the food!

I have a deep passion for traveling. I have been to many different states and several different countries. I’m blessed to have the opportunity to share my passion of travelling with others. Like I said earlier, I’m not travelling all the time, but when I do, you’ll be able to follow my adventures–from cruises to road trips to travelling overseas to anywhere else life takes me! Not only that, but you’ll also be able to learn about other people’s travel experiences.

I also have a vlog on YouTube where I [sometimes] document my adventures. I’m working on overcoming my camera-shyness, I haven’t posted in awhile, but I’m working on it 🙂 When I do post videos though, I aim to have my viewers share the experience with me. I want to share the sights, the views, the food, the people, and everything in between!

I am excited to embark on this journey with you! If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me! Welcome to Life with Larissa!
